High Mowing Organic Seeds are specifically bred for characteristics that allow them to do well in organic growing conditions.  These traits include disease resistance, high seedling vigor, high marketable yield, vigorous root and root hair growth, inset resistence, high nutritional content and naturally beautiful appearance.  Plant health begins with healthy seed, and that's why High Mowing Seeds are laboratory tested for seed germination, seedling vigor, and screened for seed-borne disease.

Why Choose Organic seeds?

When you choose to buy organic, non-GMO seeds you are supporting:

1.  A safer ecosystem for the bees and other insects that pollinate a third of all food on earth.

2.  Family farms that grow High Mowing Seeds professional-grade organic seeds.

3.  Agricultural practices that result in healthier soil, water and communities

But do organic seeds really make a difference in your garden?

Yes!  When we grow organic seeds, we're selecting for plants that thrive in organic growing conditions.

1.  Organic, non-GMO seeds are adapted to thrive when they receive organic inputs like compost

2.  Conventional and GM seeds are adapted to thrive when they receive synthetic chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides.

We believe that organic, non-GMO gardens should start with organic, non-GMO seeds.

With so many GM crops now on the market and the increased risk of Pollen Drift, organic farmers have to work harder to avoid contamination.  To mitigate this risk, High Mowing Seeds have all of their seeds third-party verified by the Non-GMO Project, giving you the highest level of confidence that  these seeds are non-GMO.
