CERTIFIED ORGANIC, non-GMO Garden Vegetable Seeds for Planting in an Outdoor Garden

Large beefsteak fruits with mauve-purple skin, green shoulders and red flesh.

The most popular of the "black" tomatoes for its outstanding flavor and texture. Widely grown by gardeners and market growers alike. A popular heirloom for the greenhouse. Believed to trace back over 100 years to the Cherokee tribe.

Cherokee Purple Tomato:  Brownish-purple skin with green shoulders and red flesh.  Large beefsteak fruits weigh in a 12-16 oz.  Believed to trace back over 100 years to the Cherokee Indians.  

Planting Tips:   Warm season tender annual that prefers full sun adn soils with moderate fertility.  Start seeds 6-8 weeks before planting date.  Optimal soil temp for germination is 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit.  Set transplants out after danger of frost has passed, one row in center of bed, with support or trellis.  Harvest tomatoes fully ripe for best flavor.
