These are all lentils, soaking is not required unless you have digestion issues, then please do.

The barley pairs up nicely with the lentils. No seasoning included

The mix includes the 3 different lentils - red, French, and green - and the hulled barley needed. You supply the following:

4 qts stock, either vegetable or chicken


1/8 tsp pepper

1 carrot, chopped

1/2 cup celery, chopped

2 bay leaves


Add lentils and all other ingredients to the stock (except barley) cook until lentils are soft, about and hour maybe less.
Add barley and cook until barley is soft, maybe another hour or less.
Season to taste.
