Manju - Japanese Sweet Bun Cake

Lima Bean An (filling)
2 lb lima beans
4 c sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp green food coloring
Soak beans overnight. Simmer slowly until soft. Strain through strainer and put in heavy cloth bag to squeeze out all the water. Put in heavy pot, add sugar and salt. Cook slowly and stir until thickened. Add food coloring and cool. When cool, form into walnut sized balls.
1 cube butter ( I am assuming 1 stick)
2 c sugar
1 c evaporated milk
2 tsp baking soda
7 c flour
3 eggs
3 egg yolks
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs. Stir and add milk. Sift together flour and baking soda. Stir into liquid and add more flour (if necessary) until dough can be handled. Place a golf ball size piece of dough in the palm of hand, flatten and place the smaller 'bean ball' in flattened dough. Pinch the ends together, shape and place on creased cookie sheet. Complete this procedure then brush the tops with a mixture of 3 beaten egg yolks and sprinkle sesame seeds on the top of each. Bake in 350 degree oven 20 minutes or until golden brown.
